From introducing PATTERN BODY, the newest piece to her PATTERN BEAUTY empire, to promoting her happy new program Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross, it is safe to say that Tracee Ellis Ross has been everywhere lately. And for some reason, she continues to give us conversation-starting stares.
Her most recent Instagram post was a serotonin rush. To be honest, it was like seeing a double rainbow after a dark day—bright, surprising, and sure to make you feel better.
Tracee is not scared to take things back, even though she is always been a master of color. She was wearing bright monochromatic, oversized tailoring that was reminiscent of Wall Street just last week. A few days later, she is spinning in a rainbow of hues thanks to Christopher John Rogers.
Over the past year, Christopher John Rogers, who gained notoriety by boldly showcasing every shade in the paintbox on the runway, has been more subdued. Charli XCX, Blake Lively, and Kerry Washington have all been spotted wearing his white tiered dress. However, this Fall 2025 tiered halter dress, which is painted in six gorgeous colors, feels like a fresh start for Tracee and the designer.
Now, wearing this outfit is not simple. It is daring, theatrical, and almost has a personality of its own. However, Tracee? She accessorizes it with MISHO jewelry and earthy brown Femme sandals to create an effortless appearance.
Though we will have to make do with her Chanel tweed and ruffles, I can see Lupita Nyong’o wearing this outfit as well.
